It’s incredible the kind of trouble our tongues can create. This tiny muscle can start wars and stop them. It can create stress or relieve it. It can build up or tear down. It can hurt or heal. Proverbs 18:21 says, “The tongue has the power of life and death.” Controlling the tongue is the most difficult assignment we will ever have. Matthew 12:34 says, “For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” Join us Sunday 10AM @fallbrookvineyardchurch as we open a scripture that’s tough to swallow, James 3. This portion of James’ letter causes the believer to examine their heart… We are reminded that what’s on our inside will come out in our words.Good news- there are remedies for this struggle with our mouths… We will see you Sunday! Bring your bibles, chairs and friends. #tamingthetongue#wordsmatter#epistleofjames#faithinaction#thebible#prayer #lifeabundant#community #support #love#familyofgod #outdoorchurch #organicchurch #outlawchurch #dogfriendlychurch#dogchurch#fallbrookvineyardchurch#thevineyard1924

Last Sunday, we began a dialogue about the current state of the American church and how the book of James is SO TIMELY as a call to action for the body of Christ! Actions speak louder than words. As history has proved, the consequence of inaction can lead to death… The German church in the 1930’s was quite silent in the face of evil. We know what followed. Why has the American church fallen not only silent in the face of evil, but in some cases, condoning it? Join us Sunday 10AM @fallbrookvineyardchurch as we CONTINUE the dialogue. Is the church calling out sin? Is the church defining sin as the Bible does? Is the church acknowledging and taking a stand against satan? James calls it like it is in 4:17, “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.”James tells us in 2:26 ”For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” Church, what are we going to do for Christ? See you Sunday! Jesus did not intend for salvation to be a box you check to get into heaven. He came so that we may have life abundant. As believers we are called to live our faith with ACTION just as Christ did and commanded us to do. If we sit comfy in our faith, sin creeps into our lives allowing room for the slick works of satan to get a foothold. The German church in the 1930’s was silent in the face of evil. We know the atrocity that followed. Why has the American church fallen not only silent in the face of evil, but in some cases, condoning it? Join us Sunday 10AM @fallbrookvineyardchurch as we engage in conversation on the American church; it’s history, it’s present, and the crossroads it’s at now. What is faith? And why does James lead us to believe that our faith is “dead” if it is not accompanied by works? This portion of scripture can, at first glance, look like a contradiction to the gospel message. Join us Sunday 10AM @fallbrookvineyardchurch and let’s wrestle through this portion of the Word together and discover that our “works” as believers are a direct extension of our faith and EVIDENCE of the new creation we can become through the power of the Holy Spirt! We can’t wait to worship with you! We’re back in the olive grove 🌳 so bring your chairs. @thevineyard1924 is open so let’s enjoy some fellowship after church. #epistleofjames#faithinaction#faithwithoutworksisdead#thebible#prayer #lifeabundant#community #support #love#familyofgod #outdoorchurch #organicchurch #outlawchurch #dogfriendlychurch#dogchurch#fallbrookvineyardchurch#thevineyard1924

We live in a divided world of “us” and “them”; of the “haves” and “have nots”. When we allow our differences to influence our attitude, it manifests as partiality or prejudice in our hearts and our actions. James, the brother of Jesus, gives Christian’s a strong warning of the dangers of favoritism in the church. James reminds of God’s loving mercy toward us, regardless of our economic status. And how this should compel us to show mercy to others, regardless of theirs. Join us Sunday 10AM @fallbrookvineyardchurch as we open our Bibles to James 2 and give ourselves a little heart exam, if you will Weather forecast says no rain Sunday morning so, we’re ON for a beautiful morning together! If anything changes, please check here for updates. ”But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.“ ‭(James 1:25)We live in a generation unwilling to speak hard truths and we have become a people who fold in the face of conviction. We like to claim Christianity but are unwilling to DO what Christ says. If we TRULY believe that Jesus is King and that we serve a HOLY God…. we will not just be hearers but DOERS of the Word as well. Works are a byproduct of faith 🤍Join us this Sunday 10AM @fallbrookvineyardchurch and come ready to be challenged in your faith as we finish up James chapter 1. The straightforward, bold, no excuses book of the Bible that tells it like it is and calls faithful Christians to “walk the walk” because He is HOLY and worthy of our obedience.Bring your bibles and your friends! The letter of James is highly relevant to the Christian life. This 5 chapter epistle, likely written by the half-brother of Jesus, deals with the “practical” side of faith and meets us in the routine moments of our day. James meets us in our suffering, our sickness and our hardship. He confronts us in our speech, our wealth, and our pride. He directs us when we lack wisdom on what to do next. It’s a glove box instruction manual for the follower of Christ! Join us Sunday 10AM @fallbrookvineyardchurch as we open our Bibles together and get into the nitty gritty of the New Testament, the book of James. We’re collecting Ensure protein drink and adult diapers for @fallbrookfoodpantry through the month of January. #epistleofjames#countitalljoy#faithinaction#thebible#prayer #lifeabundant#community #support #love#familyofgod #outdoorchurch #organicchurch #outlawchurch #dogfriendlychurch#dogchurch#fallbrookvineyardchurch#thevineyard1924
