As we’ve seen in Exodus, Pharaoh caused the people intense devastation, pain and suffering. Repeatedly! Once given power, rulers can become downright wicked. We pray for our leaders because God desires for all to be saved.

Join us Sunday 10AM @fallbrookvineyardchurch as the Israelites are finally driven out of Egypt and freed from evil Pharaoh.

Finally, THE EXODUS begins.

We will partake in communion as we go deeper into the meaning behind the Passover remembrance, and remembering Christ’s sacrifice on the cross for us.

In this season of gift giving, can you think of any better gift than being DELIVERED from darkness and death, being adopted into an eternal family, being forgiven and, walking daily with the blessed assurance of salvation?

I can’t!

As we continue in Exodus, we approach the final and most horrible plague, the death of the firstborn. We see HOW God spares His people from judgement. A measure pointing to the real sacrifice that one day God would make when God would send His own Son into the world… the ultimate act of LOVE, and our last Advent theme.

“Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden you

“Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” (Hebrews 3:7-8).

The hardening of Pharaoh’s heart is a warning to us all; if the sinful, stubborn heart is non responsive to God’s Word, it can’t be transformed by His amazing grace.

As the plagues became increasingly more intense, we notice Gods graciousness.
Graciousness? Yes!
The Lord gave Pharaoh repeated opportunities to acknowledge God is God. Our gracious God does not force human response.

But He is holy, and He is just.
Pharaoh’s repeated rebellion and refusal leave him with no excuse when God’s judgement finally comes.

As we enter the darkest time of the year, we are also being called OUT of the darkness and into His marvelous light!

Our third Advent devotion reflects the JOY that comes through King Jesus’ arrival, and the salvation He has gifted us. It symbolizes the JOY the shepherds experienced when the angels announced the birth of Christ, in the middle of the night.

Most of us have heard or read the Biblical accounts of the plagues God judged Egypt with through Moses, but have you ever considered that God was displaying severe MERCY when He inflicted Egypt with these supernatural forces?

The plagues of Egypt are a direct response to the question, “Who is the Lord God and why should I obey His voice?”

So begins an epic display of power and judgment. The plagues were an answer directed at God’s own people as well as His enemies. We will see the gods of this world challenged and defeated as the evil ruler, Pharaoh, is brought to his knees. We will see the eyes of Gods people opened and their souls awakened to liberation and redemption. And the stage will be set and history willl record that there is IN FACT, No God like OUR God, Jehovah!

Are you on God’s agenda or are you wanting God to be on your agenda?

God’s agenda is to give freedom to the oppressed, and He will not be stopped. But our obedience or disobedience can play a role in the how and when of God’s agenda coming to fruition, or being realized.

In Exodus 6, the Lord presents His agenda. He promises to Moses and His people:

Have you ever said “yes” to God, and then regretted it?

Perhaps you feel caught in the middle of some relationships and situations in this current political and spiritual climate.

The faithfulness and providence of God is easier to see in hindsight. But what about in the midst of the waiting & hardship and the “why me, God?” moments?

God is at work for much larger purposes than we can see or understand. Sometimes suffering and setbacks are part of the obedience process. How we respond to the pressure will either bring us closer to God or farther away.

Thankfully, we have many examples in the Bible to learn from!

Church, because of His great mercy, we are not con

Church, because of His great mercy, we are not consumed. We have been given more time to advance the kingdom of God! The penalty of sin and its power over us were not miraculously destroyed on election night… No. They were destroyed by Christ on the cross. Let us keep our eyes on Jesus!

We are on a new battlefield in this spiritual war. Wickedness has been exposed, praise our holy God. And now it’s time to pray and work for the strongholds to be broken down, and for souls to run to the cross of our gracious, merciful Savior.

We can worry and stress and try and fix it ourselves

we can lay it before the throne of God, surrender our anxieties and receive the PEACE OF GOD.

Well, here we are just a few days from what is arguably the most important election in modern history. As watchmen on the wall, it’s the duty of faith leaders and pastors to educate their flocks on what the Bible says about what’s on your ballot.

Even in the midst of natural disasters, global government corruption, and an uptick in wickedness, we can plainly see that our God is on the throne and still in the business of MIRACLES.

People who don’t know God may not listen to His

People who don’t know God may not listen to His Word or messengers. We shouldn’t let that stop us from sharing the Good News and standing for biblical principles.

The truth is, Jesus is Lord. Period. Regardless of how someone feels about this statement, it is true. People have argued it since ancient times and will continue until the day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.

Moses and Aaron had to face Pharaoh, who not only didn’t know or respect God, he got so mad about God, that he made life harder for the people of God!

Pharaoh figured that if he made life more miserable for the people of God, they would have no time or desire to worship Him.

Have you ever said “yes” to God, and then regretted it? Sometimes hardship comes as a result of obeying God.

When you’ve lived in the same place for 40 years

When you’ve lived in the same place for 40 years and all of a sudden God says, “time to go”, it’s not easy to just pack up and move.

As God sends Moses back to Egypt to deliverer the people of Israel, He gives him some much needed blessed assurances for this major assignment.

Moses knew what he had to do. He knew this was bigger than him. But there was one teeny bit of unfinished covenant business with God… and Moses’ wife does something very drastic about it…

“I AM WHO I AM.” The deity of Jesus Christ is

“I AM WHO I AM.”
The deity of Jesus Christ is found all throughout the Old Testament. He is God incarnate and by the power of His Spirit, He spoke to Moses at the burning bush.

Much to the Jews disgust, seven times in the New Testament, Jesus uses “I AM” as a divine declaration of His Lordship.

What about us? How do we respond to the Divinity of the Jesus, how do we respond knowing that He is Lord of all, that he the promised one, that He has power over all the earth, that He has always existed?

When we accept the free gift of salvation, repent of our sins and acknowledge Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Savior, we are not only given the promise of eternity in heaven but we become a new creation here on earth. We accept a life that now dies to ourselves and lives for the glory of God and for the good news of the gospel.
