Silly questions Jesus asked

Jesus asked a lot of questions. He was a teacher, that’s part of His job. But have you ever noticed some of His questions were rhetorical or almost silly?

It’s incredible the kind of trouble our tongues can create. This tiny muscle can start wars and stop them. It can create stress or relieve it. It can build up or tear down. It can hurt or heal. Proverbs 18:21 says, “The tongue has the power of life and death.” Controlling the tongue is the most difficult assignment we will ever have. Matthew 12:34 says, “For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” Join us Sunday 10AM @fallbrookvineyardchurch as we open a scripture that’s tough to swallow, James 3. This portion of James’ letter causes the believer to examine their heart… We are reminded that what’s on our inside will come out in our words.Good news- there are remedies for this struggle with our mouths… We will see you Sunday! Last Sunday, we began a dialogue about the current state of the American church and how the book of James is SO TIMELY as a call to action for the body of Christ! Actions speak louder than words. As history has proved, the consequence of inaction can lead to death… The German church in the 1930’s was quite silent in the face of evil. We know what followed. Why has the American church fallen not only silent in the face of evil, but in some cases, condoning it? Join us Sunday 10AM @fallbrookvineyardchurch as we CONTINUE the dialogue.Is the church calling out sin? Is the church defining sin as the Bible does? Is the church acknowledging and taking a stand against satan?
